Original Pancake House - Plantation, FL

Original Pancake House is a chain and comparable to iHop and Denny's, but they offer much better quality food. While all three restaurant offer orange juice, OPH gives you freshly squeezed, 100% orange juice.

While the others offer stuffed French Toast made from who knows what, OPH offers a fresh version; you can actually make out the slices of bread and fresh cream filling.

While the others serve Omelets (OPH does too), but OPH offers meals like Corned Beef Hash and the homemade kind at that.

Despite the variances, their Eggs and Bacon were fairly standard.

It's not fancy, top notch service or a unique place, but they do service a pretty fresh American breakfast, you wouldn't find at other chains.

Visit Freeport, The Bahamas: Zorba's Greek Restaurant, Port Lucaya Marketplace and Billy Joe's On the Beach

A gang of us want to do something different and get out of town, so we took the ferry to Freeport. A lot of people complain about the ride, but I found it perfectly fine. I think its hard for people to understand that it's a ferry not a cruise ship and just a mode of transportation. Bottom line, if you want something fancy then pay the couple hundred more and get on one of the real cruise liners. I on the other hand love the low price I pay just to get there and back. I can't even make it to work and back for the entire week at the price.

Once you get there you a pretty much forced to take a taxi into the city. We got lucky and got a nice women who was accommodating to our requests and random stops. There are shops and other interesting thing to do, but we wanted food. She recommended Zorbas Greek Cuisine. Despite the name, they offer many Bahamian favorites and almost everyone in the restaurant was having Bahamian food and not Greek food. I decided to get the Fried Conch.

The Conch was good, but not as good as the Octopus appetizer (which is sadly not pictured). After lunch we headed to the beach.

A little dip in the water led to DRINKS. Entering the beach is a cool spot called Billy Joe's.

The have many food options, drinks, beers and some bomb Conch Salad.

Once I got some Conch Salad in me (and some drinks), my Bahamas trip was complete.

Just Go Jet Ski & Boat Rental - Miami, FL

Laying poolside or beach side is great, but getting out on a boat is something everyone should experience. The tour cruises are great for visitors and owning a boat is not ideal for the average person, so the next best thing is to rent one for the day.

Having a chartering a boat with a capital is alright, but why not be your own captain? Just go rental offers just that. My fiancé has manned a boat before, but I hadn't and I found it to be very simple and easy, just like driving a car.

I loved that we were able to be on our own. Had something happened I might think otherwise since we really don't know what we are doing, but if you know how to drive then you should have no problems. If you think you how to drive, but have been in 10 accident in the last month, this is not for you.

La Parrilla Rotisserie & Grill - Coral Springs, FL

I don't know how to describe La Parrilla Rotisserie & Grill other than similar to La Granja (restaurant chain that serves Latin American food).

My fiancĂ© had the Steak with Rice and Peas. It was a satisfying meal, but didn't wow.

I had the Mofongo with Fried Pork. First off the sauce (which is usually garlic based) tasted and look like Lipton broth, then the meat was over seasoned and salty. The Monfongo itself was decent though.

Bottomline, decent service, a basic restaurant atmosphere, and okay food.

People’s Bar-B-Que - Overtown - Miami, FL

I was really in the mood for some BBQ, but did not know where to go so I did a little Google searching for a place and found People’s Bar-B-Que with a lot of positive reviews. Good reviews and the fact that it was in the hood, I decided to go there because those things must mean that they had authentic BBQ.

The reviews I read were mostly great, but it definitely couldn't be because of the service (the girl at the counter couldn't get my order right and had attitude) or the atmosphere (plain and basic), it had to be because of the food.

After a bit of a wait, I finally got my food (ribs and chicken, however I ordered only ribs). It was pretty average BBQ, although the sauce would not be described as a typical BBQ sauce. The sauce had a surprisingly nice taste and flavor though. I was just a little annoyed eating the ribs because they were randomly chopped (not by each rib) and the sauce was excessive (I got some on my clothes). The sides were pretty decent.

Basically it was good but I doubt I would ever go back. The unique sauce made it interesting, but other than it was pretty standard.

Visit Atlantic City: Boardwalk, Casinos, John's Italian Ice

I'm a bit of a gambler so a Philly trip was not complete without a little Atlantic City action. In my humble opinion, not much goes on in Atlantic City besides the casinos and the boardwalk, but that's enough to satisfy anybody.

The summer heat could kills you so it a necessity to stop and get some Italian ice at one of the spots on the boardwalk.

We got ours from John's Water Ice and I'm glad we made the right choice.

John's has its original location in Philadelphia.

That was some good stuff.

Product Review: The Amazing Miracle Cleanse

When I am feeling a little "bulky", I usually turn to the herbal teas that contain Senna Leaf. They are very effective, but do not taste that great. The Amazing Miracle Cleanse contains Senna Leaf but come in capsules so they are just as effective, but without the bad taste. I liked The Amazing Miracle Cleanse because it came in pill form, but was still natural.

Visit Philadelphia: Geno's Steaks, Red Owl Tavern, Old City, Pat's Kingof Steaks and Mister Softee Ice Cream Food Truck

It's past midnight, I just got off my flight and I'm super tired, but I just arrived in Philly and no matter what I have to make a stop at Geno's on the way to the hotel.

It's all about the Philly Cheesesteak at Geno's, seriously, because the fries were not good.

I decided to get my Philly the local's way with wiz. It was good, but for me not great. The bread was rubbery.

I was so happy when I got to the hotel, not only because I was tired and now stuffed, but because the hotel (hotel Monaco) was the most beautiful I have ever stayed at. I have stayed at some nice hotels but this one fit my style so I was in love.

The next morning we had brunch at the hotel restaurant, Red Owl Tavern and Bar. I had a Hibiscus Fizz which was truly awesome for breakfast spirits.

I ate the BLT with Avocado that was so good. The avocado adds a necessary element that most BLT's lack.

My fiancĂ© has the Philly Cheesesteak but hated it. It seems like they combined the meat with the cheese and mixed them. I didn't mind it though.

After brunch, we explored the city a little bit.

We ended up at a street festival where I ate a Lobster Roll. It was 100% sweet lobster meat and so good. I love a soft bread sandwich.

I couldn't leave Philadelphia without trying the other best Philly spot, Pat's for comparison. I liked Pats a lot better. I found the bread and meat to be better. Pat's would be the winner for me.

The finale, ice cream and sprinkles from Mister Softee.

Bulla Gastrobar - Coral Gables, FL

I really didn't know what to expect of Bulla other than it looked like a great restaurant setting and served traditional Spanish food. Really, nothing more needs to be known when you have at least those two things and those two things alone drew me in.

To commence the meal was Carpaccio de Salmon. It was scrumptious, amazing, and everything in between but just too damn salty.

Although not ideal for this hot weather, I still ordered the Caldereta de Mariscos. It was really good and definitely worth the sweat. There was plenty of potatoes, large pieces of fish and although not mentioned in the menu description, a good amount of shrimp.

My dining companion went a completely different route and ordered the Pan con Minuta with Patata Bravas. It was quite good and the homemade ketchup added a nice touch.

The Flan de Coco was the perfect sweet ending to a lovely lunch.
