Wild East Asian Bistro - Fort Lauderdale, FL

Wild East Asian Bistro is a trendy Asian fusion restaurant located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale otherwise known as Las Olas Boulevard. The restaurant has very calming modern decor with an open kitchen on the inside and a tranquil canal-side atmosphere on the outside. You are even greeted by Buddha at the door. The ambiance is as if you are sent away to the far east.

Wild East Asian Bistro offers diners an affordable menu of appetizers, entrees, and creative sakes with tastes from China, Thailand, Korea and Vietnam. The best part of the menu is the $6 plates. I am a huge fan of small plates/tapas because you get to enjoy a little bit of everything at a reasonable price. With more than 30 choices, it was difficult to make a decision but I settled on the Tempura Salmon Roll, Beef Skewers, Sweet & Sour Pork Loin, Bistro Fried Rice & Shrimp Lo Mein. Everything was well prepared and delicious but my favorites were the Salmon Roll and Beef Skewers. I also really enjoy the rice, it was very fresh and light, not doused in soy sauce like many fried rice are prepared. My lease favorite, although it was still good, was the Sweet & Sour Pork Loin which I probably wouldn't order again.

The service was average. The waitress wasn't the friendliest but did her job satisfactorily. Once we were seated, she told us about their drink special for the day which was buy one get one free Mango Sake, so of course we took her up on the offer. Oh boy, was it amazing! My boyfriend isn't a fan of sake but loved this one. Our food came out relatively quickly so that was a plus. My only issue was that everything was brought out at the same time. Since we ordered everything together up front and considering that the food does come so quickly, next time I would order in a sequence.


Wild East Asian Bistro is a great place to come for a relaxing afternoon or evening for an amazing dining experience. I am absolutely happy that I discovered this restaurant.
