West Grove Food Zone - Coconut Grove - Miami, FL

Curry Goat with White Rice & Collard Greens

Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas & Steamed Cabbage

Decent food, a great price, but really the selling point for me is that it is the closest Jamaican food I can find to get my fix.

Taurus Beer & Whiskey House - Coconut Grove, FL

Left Hand Milk Stout

Lagunitas

Southern Tier & Leffe Blonde

Chef Alex Burger

Parisian Sliders

Avery White Rascal

Cigar City Jai Alai

They have a large selection of beer and Whiskey which is amazing. The burgers were also surprisingly good considering they do not seem to specialized in or put too much focus on the food. The problem lied in the fact that service was not very good and the place was not even packed.

Asian Thai Kitchen - Coconut Grove - Miami, FL

I thought it was a little strange that the restaurant was located inside a Kwik Stop, but if the food was as good as the reviews said it was, I was down. Despite the location, I was glad that I came. The restaurant area of the store was well maintained and opposite of what you might envision. The girls working there were very nice too.

I started off with the Shrimp Shumai. For some reason I decided to get it fried and as a result of that I was a little bit disappointed. I know that had I ordered it steamed it would have tastes so much better.

Then I had the Pork Fried Rice. It was infused with black pepper and basil, but was quite good for the simple fact that is was made with fresh ingredients.

I also had Chicken Pad Thai. It too was hot and fresh.

That was a lot of food, but still I finished off with the Thai Donuts. Those were damn good!

The location may be a little odd, but you cannot deny that they serve hot, fresh food made to order.

TK's at the Villa Mayfair Restaurant - Coconut Grove, FL

This place threw me off a little bit. The vibe of the restaurant was very elegant, but then they had servers wearing t-shirts and jeans. So, it was a bit confusing as to what the experience was going to be.

I started off my meal with the Watermelon Salad. It was very refreshing and extremely delicious. I was pretty impressed something so simple could taste so good.

My friend had the Fish Sandwich as their entrée. They were not impressed since it isn't really was not impressive but still liked it.

My dish I didn't love so much. I've had Mussel countless times and this was the least memorable. Their bread choice was a good selection, but didn't make these mussels stand out. I like the bread more than I liked the Mussels and the they broth they were cooked in.

For dessert I had the Pineapple Flan. I enjoyed the flan, but wished they had used fresh pineapple instead. I basically ate the flan, but avoided the pineapple, those got left on the plate.

In the end, the food matched the outfits not the décor which left me a somewhat disappointed. Then the services was quite slow and inadequate. The food was not horrible but as an overall experience, I likely would never come back.
