San Francisco is a beautiful city with lots to see and do.
And that includes a stop at Fisherman's Wharf Pier 39, where we took the cruise to Alcatraz and to see the Golden Gate bridge up close.
It was a fun ride and offered up-close views but if you are looking to gain knowledge, information or have a relaxing ride, this was not that.
After the boat ride, I was hungry and cold so we went to Boudin Sourdough Bakery & Café where I had a Bread Bowl of Clam Chowder. It was packed but service moved quickly and we were luckily able to find a seat.
The Chowder was good (the right consistency and salt content) and the bread was fresh and soft. It was satisfying enough and warmed me right up!
