When I first saw the pub, my first thought was cheesy themed and once inside it was more or less the same. Despite that the small pub was very welcoming. You can tell that they cater to locals but as a newbie, I was given equal respect. It is not the kind of place I usually go to, but I was attending a show at the Culture Room and both are located in the same shopping plaza so I decided to go there. I was looking for a place to pregame before the show and with great happy hour specials ($2.50 domestic draft and well drinks), I couldn't deny that. Most bars offer the same typical foods but at Wayward they have a full menu that includes Tex-Mex dishes, sandwiches and burgers, and also the usual pub favorites such as homemade
shepherd’s pie and fish and chips. I hadn't eaten before leaving home, so our group ordered the flautas and buffalo chicken strips. For bar food, both were pretty good since I was not expecting that. They also have a few flat-screen TVs broadcasting most sporting events so it is also a great place to go and watch your favorite team play although there is a bias to Pittsburgh.Wayward Sailor Pub
